about diversity in the boardroom ltd

Diversity in the Boardroom Ltd is on a mission to make the all-cis-straight-abled-neurotypical-white-male leadership team a thing of the past and to partner with those ready to make diversity an unavoidable and obvious necessity when it comes to leadership and board structures. This means organisations but also individuals ready to go all in. Progress so far has been much too slow.

Looking at the FTSE 100 CEOs, leadership is still clearly missing the mark. Only 9% of female CEOs when women represent 51% of the British population, 11% from ethnically marginalised communities vs 18% of the population, 0% openly identifying as LGBTQIA+ or disclosing a disability. Many companies and sectors have underdelivered on their diversity, equity and inclusion commitment,  not fully owning the impact they wanted to make.

It’s time to bring the timeline up a notch.

Anti-bias trainings have become the norm, which is wonderful to see, but it’s only one side of the coin really. Changing mentalities and workplace policies is a must, but it takes time. Representation, inclusion and diversity of life experiences make for more kind and empathetic leadership and therefore healthier workplaces. Not only for employees but also for clients and partners.

In the meantime, how are you supporting your employees from marginalised communities ? How are you making sure to foster equity, not equality but equity, by providing them that extra support to reach leadership positions ?

If you are an individual, what are tangible steps you took towards your most fulfilled life ?

Diversity in the Boardroom Ltd focuses on the second side of the coin with an approach that is multifaceted and can range from :

-        Group coaching

-        1 to 1 coaching

-        Diversity, equity and inclusion consultancy

-        Workshops for your employees with a marginalised identity or for all your managers to foster inclusion

-        Team coaching

-        Facilitation

-        Adhoc programs and talks

If you’re serious about your diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, let’s chat. Or if you are individual looking for that fulfilled life and career, we should definitely connect.

We can do great work together.

About florence

After becoming a mama, I was forced to take a good hard look at the career in media and advertising I had built over the past 10+ years. The only part of the job I actually enjoyed was creating teams working in synergy, helping people grow and develop as humans.

As I started to properly train as a coach and facilitator, I got the opportunity to reconnect with myself and my values. Remembering the 8-year-old I was who started a petition with her friend to change things at primary school, the 16-year-old who worked on a high school project on adoption for LGBTQIA+ parents (16-year-old who wasn’t sure why it felt so personal and took another 16 years to admit to herself she’s bi).

Connecting back to my values made it very natural for my business to be focused on change making and fostering equity and inclusion.

I’ve seen first-hand in the media/advertising industry how much diversity there is at entry level roles and how it disappears the further up you look.

It’s time for an inclusive tomorrow.
